I'm a little behind, but Nolan turned one on July 17! I made this collage for Nolan's first year! Randy chose to go golfing both times I tried to do family pictures, and then there were no good pictures of Nolan with his Dad. He did make the Disneyland picture though!

We had a little party for Nolan in IL. This is the cake. We are sticking with the Nemo theme, so I already have the cutest Nemo costume for Halloween! He is going to look so adorable in it.

Happy 4th of July!

Aidan and Nolan had a ball swimming and playing with all the kids at the Albrecht house for the fourth of July! The babies even put on hearing protection during the fireworks display!

Fishing on Lake Minnewashta

We had another fishing outing, but on a different lake. We are the land of 10,000 lakes, so we have plenty to try out! On this outing, Aidan caught a bass! I thought for sure that was the last of the Snoopy bobber. I can't believe Aidan's little pole actually reeled in that large of a fish!

Nolan tried to get involved as well! He liked playing with the net in hopes to throw one back in the water!

I'm going to Canada!

On my last trip to Canada Aidan wanted to go with me, so Dad packed him in the suitcase!

BBC's Walking with Dinosaurs Live!

Here is Aidan on the way to the dinosaur show! He was so excited. He still remembers every detail and keeps talking about it! It was great watching his face!

The narrator along with a Liliensternus and Brachiosaurus. The dinosaurs were huge, as you can see. They looked so life-like. It was truly amazing! I would highly suggest seeing the show! Randy and I even enjoyed it!

Carson's Bay fishing outing on Lake Minnetonka

Aidan's first time fishing! We caught around forty sun fish. We would throw our hook in the water and catch a fish in less than one minute! He had a blast! We had two poles going, and often had one dangling in the water while we tried to put a worm on the other one. The one in the water would usually catch a fish by accident before we could get the worm on the other hook!

Nolan even enjoyed fishing! He often tried to chew on the rod though instead of cranking it!

Aidan also enjoyed putting the fish in his net and dropping them back in the water, so they could "grow bigger"! Nolan enjoyed watching the chaos!

Nolan wasn't so sure about the fish he caught! It was quite large compared to him though...........not bad for his first time!

Flowering Crabapple
